The FFB reacts how I would expect it to and I can catch slides and kid myself that I am Oliver Gavin in a Corvette at Le Mans. The snob in me tells me that it is the inferior title (not a sim etc.) and I shouldn’t even waste my time with it but I just gave it a spin and despite myself and despite its many imperfections, I just find it more fun. I just can’t gel with the game and the FFB seems all over the place, lumpy unpredictable and disconnected. That’s before I even start trying to setup the cars. I have tried ploughing though the endless forum threads and arguments over the ‘right’ FFB setup. I just can’t get on with the handling, particularly the way the FFB feels. I love the time of day changes and the variety of cars. Project cars 2 seems like the perfect game in many ways to me. I am by no means an Uber competitive racer nor do I have the time or inclination to spend hours on perfecting setups be they for the car in game or indeed the wheel I’m using (Thrustmaster TX). Like many of us I have been dabbling in a spot of sim racing again recently.
